1907: Mine Map, Champion Conn. - Coke Co., Bridgeport, Pa.

This 1907 mine map is in the collection of the Brownsville Free Public Library. The map is titled, "Champion Conn. - Coke Co. situate in Boro. of Bridgeport, Fayette County, Pa., June 22, 1907."
This map, while difficult to decipher, does show the undermining of Bridgeport borough and includes several notations of surface features (e. g. "cemetery," etc.), which may assist the viewer in orientation.
The first image is a photograph of the paper mine map in the collection of the Brownsville Free Public Library.
The second image is the same photograph, enhanced using computer software to improve readability.
